We often say that due to the low draft and high levels of buoyancy that our NATO pontoons can float on wet grass! On this project it couldn’t have been more true.
Due to unprecedented levels of rain in Lincolnshire, we were tasked to provide emergency assistance to complete a riverbank repair working on the non-river/flooded farmland side. Our NATO pontoons were used to transport and place rockbags, clay and top soil to fill the breached bank where access was restrictive to other plant and machinery.
In total, 150 rockbags and 600t of clay was installed whilst dealing with between 800mm-1000mm water level.
If you have a project where access is restrictive or bespoke marine lifting is required, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
