Asset Integrity Inspection & Engineering

Red7 is an engineering lead business and as such has a dedicated team of civil engineers combined with a variety of specialist access training including commercial diving, confined space and working at height, allowing our teams to access remote, hard to reach assets.

With focus on providing quality engineered solutions Red7 engineers undertake a broad range of inspection services in some challenging locations, and typically including the following specialities.

Inspection Services

  • Fully qualified in-house engineer divers able to provide independent verification of underwater construction and repair works
  • Damage assessment
  • Structural assessment
  • Accelerated low water corrosion (ALWC) Microbiological induced corrosion (MIC)
  • Digital ultrasonic thickness surveys on steel structures
  • Measurement of cathodic potential using bathycorrometers (anode assessment)
  • General visual inspection (GVI) and close visual inspection (CVI)
  • Provision of fully supported technical reports
  • Inspection and work class ROV’s
  • Deep water down hole (pan & tilt) inspection camera systems

Confined Space Inspection and Remedial Operations

  • RED7 provides confined space operations in either dry, partial and fully flooded confined spaces
  • All confined space operations are undertaken in accordance with the UK HSE Confined Space Regulations and HSE ACoP L101
  • Typical Services provided by RED7 include:
    • Outfall pipeline internal inspection and repair
    • Silt and debris removal
    • HP Water Jetting
    • CCTV Inspection: Horizontal & Vertical Down Hole Pan & Tilt
    • Inside wind turbine monopiles

Engineers Reporting

  • As part of the Inspections Services provided by RED7 the in-house engineers can produce pro-forma and full engineering reports.
  • Reports can be customised based on client requirement and may include:
  • Annotated Surface and Underwater Photography
  • Underwater Video Footage with Commentary
  • Inspection Drawings modelled using the latest version of Autodesk AutoCAD and 3D modelling
  • Full Engineering report contents include survey requirement, location plans, inspection methodology, inspection findings, and conclusions & recommendations

UXO Surveys, Inspection & Removal and Route Clearance

  • RED7 can provide the following route clearance operations in preparation of installation of new subsea assets and prior to the arrival of heavy marine plant:
    • UXO Diving and ROV Intervention including Survey and Removal
    • Boulder Removal using grab equipment from WROV
    • Concrete Scour mattress recovery
    • Pre Lay Grapnel Runs (PLGR) and Out of Service (OOS) Cable Recovery
